Who we are

Wishyor™ ("Wishyor", "we") is a software company based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. We decide how the data described here is handled, which makes us the data controller for it. For anything on this page, write to contact@wishyor.com.

What we collect

When you contact us

The contact form asks for your name, email address, and message. We use them to answer you and to keep track of the conversation that follows. Submissions are stored in our own database and copied into HubSpot, the customer record system we use to keep track of conversations. We don't use them for unrelated marketing.

When you read a page

Google Analytics tells us which pages people read and where they arrived from. It only runs if you accept it, and it sets the cookies listed below. We also use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which count page views and measure loading speed without cookies and without identifying you.

When you subscribe

The newsletter form asks only for your email address. We store it, along with the date you subscribed, and we copy it to HubSpot, which is where we manage contacts and send mail. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time.

When you rate an article

The "Was this helpful?" buttons record a yes or a no against the article's address. There is nothing personal in that record, and we can't tell who voted.

Server logs

Our host, Vercel, records the usual technical details of a request, including your IP address, browser, and the page requested. These logs keep the site secure and working, and they're kept for a short period.

Our fonts are served from this site rather than from Google Fonts, so loading a page doesn't tell Google that you visited.

Nothing else is stored. To change your mind, use the button below: it clears your choice, stops analytics, and asks again.

Why we're allowed to use it

Your consent for Google Analytics. You can withdraw it at any time with the button above.
Steps before a contract when you ask us about working together, since we can't reply without your message.
Our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and seeing, in aggregate, which pages are useful.

Who else sees it

We keep this list short on purpose. Each of these acts on our instructions:

Vercel hosts the site, our form service, and the cookieless analytics.
Google provides Analytics, and only if you accepted it.
HubSpot holds our contact records and sends the newsletter.

Both process data in the United States as well as elsewhere. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We don't sell personal information, and we never have.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries while we're in touch and for up to 24 months after the last message, unless you become a client, in which case they stay with the project records. Analytics data expires on Google's schedule, at most 14 months. Ask us to delete your enquiry sooner and we will.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to limit what we do with it, object to it, or ask for it in a portable form. Email contact@wishyor.com and we'll answer within 30 days. If you're in the UK, EU, or EEA and you think we've handled this badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority. If you're in California, you have similar rights to know, delete, and opt out, and we won't treat you differently for using them.

Children

This site is for people doing business with us, and it isn't meant for children under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
